HORMEL Chili Vegetarian with Beans, Shelf-Stable, 15 oz Steel Can

I've been using Hormel Vegetarian Chili for years in one of my family's staple appetizers; hot taco dip! Simple yet oh so yummy~layer a block of cream cheese, can of Hormel Vegetarian Chili, half jar of chunky salsa and shredded cheese on top. Bake 350 for 25 minutes~serve with tortilla chips! Enjoy!

There's other vegetarian chili, some with meat substitute in it. Why is this the only option at Walmart? It's watery, the beans are tough, it tastes like it's salt free, and it's too spicy. I have to doctor it up so much, I might as well cook my own.

If you are trying for the fat free or if you are vegetarian and you are craving chili. Either pass or find a recipe and make your own. This had a very strange taste for me, not enjoyable. Nothing that I had in my kitchen that I could add made this edible for me.

As a lover of Chili I was happy to receive this sample to try this new flavor. I was aware of the brand but never tried it before. I must say after eating it I was absolutely pleased with the taste. My entire family loved it. The combo of the water, beans, onions, green chilies, carrots, chili powder, spices, garlic and tomatoes added that great mix of spice to the dish. I liked that it was vegetarian which made it even better. This chili tasted great with nacho chips and sour cream. It was like a great snack dish for movie night and it didn't disappoint. I would absolutely buy this flavor again if I saw it on the shelf and I highly recommend it to everyone to try and taste. This was an excellent product indeed.

I received this product in a sampling kit to try. I tried this on rice and it taste good. If you are a vegetarian this is perfect for you! If your a meat eater like me you might want to try the Hormel Chili with Angus beef! I do recommend this product for vegetarians or as a side to put on rice! There is no artificial ingredients in this which is a plus!!
