Hot Wheels Super Ultimate Garage Play Set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 8 year old for Christmas. It was his favorite gift and he has played with it every day since. His favorites parts are the gorilla that climbs the side tower and drops when it gets to the top and the raceways. It also stores ALOT of cars. My husband said it was easy to put together, only took about 20 minutes (and much of that time was getting all the pieces out of the box) and there were only about 7 stickers to apply. The negatives are that this item is very large and takes up quite a lot of floor space. It's also best to have 2 people to move it, especially if it is full of cars. My son also wishes the plane on top could be removed at will, but it is permanent. It is a very sturdy set though and stays together when moved. Overall we are very happy with this item as it has kept our son very entertained and we feel he will get a lot of use out of it!

The elevator on this never operates for more than 60 seconds without jamming. This toy would be better if it was just completely unusable. Unfortunately, it's worse. It has enough flashy things to make our son WANT to keep trying to play with it, even though it doesn't work and makes horrible sounds every time it jams. Even when it isn't jammed, it seems like they went out of their way to find the loudest possible motor to drive this thing. You can barely carry on a conversation while it's running - forget having it in the same room with a tv - but once it jams, it's like a jackhammer going off. Makes the dogs run and the kid scream and generally tortures the parents as we both dive for the 'OFF' button. It's a nightmare. Completely predictable result of terrible design. For some reason they left a large enough gap between the corkscrew and the wall of the elevator shaft that cars fall down behind it and jam up the works. I honestly can not conceive how this make it past QC and got to market. Do not buy this!!!

My son received this for Xmas yesterday, he loves it but I can't stand it. While he plays with it I get to spend the time sitting on the floor unjamming cars from spiral. About every 30 seconds the horrible grinding sound of a car jammed in the spiral occurs and I get to fish it out and the cycle continues. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Got this for our son's birthday. It's huge, and nice, son loves it. But the cars gets stuck on the spinning elevator by the gorilla, even it its the real hot wheels cars. Also the straight track doesn't fit too well which makes the cars get stuck. Probably could have been tested more. Assembly instructions and packing makes it easy to understand, except for the downward ramp instructions.

We bought this as a Christmas gift for our 7 year old son December 2017. He played with it twice before the gorilla kept getting stuck. It's been sitting in our playroom not getting used ever since. Our son was so excited to get this, it was the only toy he wanted, and we purchased it well in advance and are unable to take it back. So very frustrated and disappointed.
