In general, this is a very good $500 computer for use in the home. While the Intel CPU is rather underpowered, it is fine for MS games, emails and social media. One small disappointment is that the keyboard is not back lighted. My wife (whom I bought this for) has some vision problems and has a bit of trouble seeing the keys under normal lighting. On the other hand, the 17.3 inch screen is just what she needs.

Always check shipping company before you order. If it says Lasership look up the teviews. I did not do this. After I ordered I told my husband I had never heard of Lasership. He looked up the reviews and they. are horrible. I worried for three days whether I would get my item or not. The day before delivery I got an email stating package would be delayed. I thought here we go. It's going to be stolen. The day of delivery I got a message stating it was out for delivery. I sat at my front door waiting until it was delivered so they couldn't take a picture and walk away with my package. Thankfully it was delivered. They had so many bad reviews where people did not get refunds on the items never delivered I could not believe they could stay in business. I feel so lucky, but will always check shipping o before ordering. I thought Walmart vetted these companies before allowing them to do business.

This computer is made in such a way that if you like to add apps, and if they are NOT in the Microsoft store, you will NOT be able to download those apps. They (Microsoft) claim that in order to add [non approved] Microsoft apps, you will have to take the computer out of “S” mode. If you do that, the S mode will then be removed permanently and you WON'T be able to add it back to your computer. S mode is supposed to be for efficiency and security of the computer. I believe that is a way for them (Microsoft) to control what you do on your computer, how you do it, and to also prevent you from going outside of using Microsoft products. I only put recommend because many people may be loyal customers to Microsoft/HP products. For me, I would NOT get another computer with that controlling feature!!

When searching to purchasing ANYTHING from any company or any place, always search Walmart Online Shopping FIRST for product availability, product alternatives, and best price. Walmart truly competes with the best of them in the global marketplace as to: availability of products, alternative products, price, delivery, and truly standing behind every item it sells. Simply put, Walmart is always my GO-TO Retailer. If they are out-of-stock, they'll find it for you. WHO KNEW?

Bought it as a gift, liked it so I wanted one for myself but when I went back to get a second one they weren't on sale any longer, hay $80.00 off is 80.00 buck in my pocket so I guess it was a find I just stumbled upon at the right time. Really nice laptop anyway well worth it
