This printer will not print properly and continue working longer than 60 to 90 days. HP has replaced this printer 3 times, and the last printer is less than 90 days old. This printer won't even print a test page. I would never recommend this printer to anyone. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRINTER.

I've had this printer for six years and use it daily for professional portraits. It still works as good as the day I bought it and would highly recommend it.

I got this printer as a replacement printer and it is a very good printer, the only thing that is missing is a dual tray, but it is fast and efficent. If you are looking for a good fat printer this is the one.

I just got the 9800 and for now everything seems to be working very well. Set up on a Mac and PC went smoothly with no errors. I've printed everything from 4 x 6 to 13 x 19 with no problems at all. I do recommentd when printing larger photos to use the rear manual feed. This for me eliminated roller marks I noticed when using the automatic feed tray. The rear manual feed is easy to use and I have not had any problems using this method. I do "art photos" and not just photos. I have printed photos, from normal to the max resolution and all have turned out more than acceptable, and to my surprise, no wasted paper, yet. I would estimate that one could print 10 to 15 - 13 x 19 photos before needing to change the cartridges. This means each would cost about $5 to $10 a piece to make (depending largely on paper cost). Not a bad price. At the price the 9800 is being offerred, it is a bargain! If this printer lasts me 2 years, I will be extremely pleased...

I ordered this printer without the duplexing attachment. I liked it so well that I ordered the attachment and installed it. I only took a couple of minutes to do the installation. I am very satisfied with the printer both for the quality of printing and the sizes of paper that it is capable of using. I do not believe that anyone could go wrong by buying this printer whether or not they buy the duplexing attachment.
