LaserJet 3055 Multifunction Printer

I just replaced my HP 1200, and 3 other tabletop consuming devices, with the 3055. I like it very much and have had no problems with ANY of the features. I do a lot of graphic work and like the print quality for a "work" product. The scanner & OCR function are a little tough to figure out at first. I use it with an "old" version of ULead. A better instruction book would help... HP! Bob

I have had this particular printer for 2 months. i have tried everything in my power to install it, nothing has worked thusfar. that means that i have watsed not only my valuble time but also my money, the money i could have used on another brand of printer.

We are very happy with this multifunction Laser. After 6 Months of useage we have yet to experience a problem. The set up is easy(I don't use the fax, so no opinion). I really like the form feed feature , it works great.

Great printer overall, networking setup is a breeze. The copier function works well (it isn't a $40,000 office copier so don't expect that quality level). My only gripe is that they have Vista drivers but the scanner and MFP software isn't Vista compatible. So I have to wait. I also can't figure out how to put the dang thing to sleep. But I should read the manual.

This printer replaced a Brother All-In-One that I thought I had problems with. After several months using the HP, I realize I should have gotten the Brother machine repaired. The HP has been a tremendous disappointment. The print quality is very poor - similar to the first Xerox machines. The page prints crooked, so forms won't match up. About once every two weeks, the copy feature goes bonkers and all that prints is garbage, requiring the machine to be unplugged and then started again to work properly. For no reason, the fax feature will cause the phone line to become "live". No fax is being sent, none coming in and when this happens, the fax feature is not operational. The longer I've had this machine, the more problems that crop up. You may get lucky and get a machine that works, or you could get one like this that doesn't. I will avoid HP in the future.
