Just bought it and installed it , also pick up a pack of 5 X 7 photo paper - 7megpixel photos LOOKS GREAT!!! great Price, Quiet, Very Happy Customer :)
I had a HP Inket 830 for years and was able to print our 5 x 7 cards with names and addresses. I set the left margin guide over to the right to place the card in and printed without any problems. I got the C3180 and tried the same procedure, will not print right justified. Moved the left margin guide over to the right and the card would not print. Had to put the 5 x 7 card in the middle and hold the card to print. There is only on margin guide on this model. It is the left guide, no right margin guide. If there was, then I could print out 5 x 7 cards from the middle if the card is held in place with both a left and right margin guide. Uses lots of ink.
Yep this will be the last HP printer I will own... This all in one has cost me more in wasted paper and print cartidges than I care to know and its only 4 months old. It prints very nice pics IF you can get it to feed paper.... I usually have to push paper into the printer to get it to feed. After talking to people here locally 3 out 4 of these things dont work... Thats not good odds.... The cartridges are to small so if you are going to do any photo prints get your wallet out ........ So up on the shelf it goes with the other HP printer thats gone bad.....Thats not good -- only 4 months old.........
Overall I love this printer. The one item that any prospective buyer should note is that the amount of ink in the cartridges is skimpy at best. If you're looking for an excellent all in one printer and you have unlimited funds to purchase ink cartridges, I recommend this printer. If not, you should look for a different printer but do your homework. Especially regarding the number and type of print cartridges that are used. As an example, many of the older HP cartridges hold 3 - 4 times the ink per cartridge that this printer uses. I hope HP reviews these postings and gets the message about the cartridges. I know they make larger capacity cartridges for some printers. They should do the same for this printer.
I bought this printer recently and so far this is the best printer I have owned. It's very easy to use and the software that comes with the printer is very user friendly. I would definately reccomend this to my friends.
