Putting the bike together was pretty easy and took me a little over a half hour. The only damage I discovered was some paint had been rubbed away on the down tube during shipping. A little touch up paint will take care of it. The folks at Huffy need to address this since I'm not the first one mention the problem. I have 3 bikes... a road bike, a mountain bike and now this one. Each of the others cost a couple of grand apiece but none of them is as much fun as this one. I've biked up to 10 miles at a time on it and haven't had a problem. This bike is solid! I've put a couple of wicker baskets on the rear rack (Nantucket bicycle baskets) so I can transport groceries home. I shaved off a 1/2" on each side of the wood grain rack so the hooks from the baskets would fit. I also added a retro rear tail light, retro head light, bell and mirror. I removed the cooler on the front handlebars since it interfered with the headlight. The stock bike seat wouldn't stop squeaking no matter what I tried and was driving me crazy so I swapped it out for something that would compliment the retro look and now the problem is solved. One other tip.... the bolts that attached the cupholder to the handlebar bracket are not flush with the cupholder's surface. I covered them with some duct tape so my stainless steel travel mug's finish wouldn't get scratched.
