Last year was my first year starting seedlings. I potted tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, Brussels sprouts, oh so many seeds, and set them on a folding table in our garage so I could open the door when it was sunny and keep them inside, heated, at night. Well, it just wasn't enough heat and my lovely little seedlings died off. Almost all of them anyway. This year I've started my tomatoes and peppers and have them on a tray on this heating mat and so far so good! I'm so excited to get them past the uber fragile stage and be able to move them out to my greenhouse!

Using this to start some plants early. We've gotten rosemary to start from seed - still in the early days but this has definitely helped since we keep the room the plants are in at about 68.

I bought this heat pad to aid in my indoor sowing of peppers and tomatoes (which I have not been successful in before). The size is perfect to fit under a typical 72 cell flat for seedlings. It is warm without feeling like it will overheat and the directions are printed right on the heat mat itself. The heat does not seem to reach the edges of the mat, but it did not seem to make much of a difference. Within days I had many healthy looking tomato seedlings and peppers on their way! I used it in combination with a small grow lamp.

I would like to thank Gardner's Supply Customer Service for suggesting this product for me to use in my classroom to regulate the temperature for our plants in the classroom. Very easy to use just take them out of the package, roll them out, plug them in, and you are ready to go.

Used to make my seeds I had problems with before with slow germination. Pepper seeds and parsley seeds germinated 4-7 days faster than before. Loved how the heat mat worked, I need to purchase a bigger one.
