The Ideal 31 605 is a duct seal. The butyl rubber composite is a dark gray putty that is used to seal around junction boxes, flashings and service entrances. It s permanently soft this compound can be painted immediately after application. It will not adversely affect other plastic materials or corrode metals. This putty has an indefinite shelf life, as long as it s stored properly, enabling use for many different projects. It comes in 1lb blocks for easy transferring and storage. In 1916, J.
