First attempt I did not clean the wall or moisten the suction cups before sticking it on the wall, and it fell off fairly quickly even with nothing on it. Second attempt I wiped the wall down really good, moistened all the suction cups, and loaded it up with large heavy bottles and after a week it has not budged. I'm glad I took the time for a 2nd attempt because I like the large size of this to fit oversized shampoo bottles and other items. Even with pushing down on the bottles to get shampoo and conditioner out the basket has held tight, woohoo! My daughter wished it had way to hang a loofah from it, that is the only downside, so just know that going in.
This iDesign Push Lock Rectangle Basket has been a great addition to my shower. It is a very well made shower caddy and the suction cups were great and install was easy. I have been using it for over two weeks and it hasn’t budged. My basket is installed in a fiberglass shower which allowed for a great grip, but as long as your surface is smooth it should hold just fine. All you have to do is push the suction buttons down until you can’t see the gray and you know it’s secure. It is a very generous size and big enough that I have used it to replace my hanging shower head caddy and also a corner tension rod pole with baskets. I was able to retire both of those which were both rusted and covered in mineral deposits. It is really nice that this shower basket is plastic and can be easily cleaned. It hooks onto the suction cups and can be lifted off. The only things I couldn’t safely put into/onto the basket were my razors. My shower is more open and neater now and I can keep it up away from my kids. I’ll have to check to see if there are any other Push Lock organizers by iDesign that I might be able to use.
Before placing this on the tiled shower wall, I took rubbing alcohol and cleaned the tiles where I was going to place each suction cup. I also made sure none of the suction cups were going to land on grout. I have another product like this… a towel hook. Every few months I have to push the suction tab in a bit, but they are surprisingly strong. It’s bigger than I thought it would be. I have my miscellaneous shower items in here: razor, hair clip, nail brush, pumice stone. It keeps them off the shower shelf/bench and where I can easily grab them. Also keeps my shower from looking cluttered/messy. I don’t have a lot of weight inside, but the shower caddy hasn’t budged and I haven’t had to push in the suction tabs yet. I love it.
I really needed a bin for my grandsons bath things since he is older now and has his own toiletries. I have bought similar products before and they never stay stuck on the wall. This one has stayed up for days now so I am confident that it will stay in place once I put his things in it ad hang it at his level. This was a happy surprise!
This is a great product, super easy to install. All you do is push the buttons and it suctions to the bath wall. Plenty of room for a good size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Made of sturdy plastic with drain holes. Only thing that would have been a nice addition is a hook for a loofa.
