iLuv i168 - Clock radio - 6 Watt

When I first tried to receive the HD signal from my local station it would not connect. I finally solved the problem by connecting it to my rooftop TV antenna. This was not suggested in the directions, as I think it should be.

Purchased for use by a senior citizen. May end up being a bit too complicated what with all the buttons. Lacks a tone control (bass, treble,) by which the factory setting could be modified to personal listeners' taste.

For the cost, several features are missing. Won't scroll Title, Artist, Station across display. Won't show time while radio is playing. For our FM use, a telescopic antenna would have been much better than just a 4 foot wire. And what's up with that antiquated AM antenna that has absolutly no way of hooking up on the radio, it is so ugly! But most of all the HD is no better than analog FM in quality of sound

Overall a great sounding radio. However, I am 45 miles from my "HD" radio station and I have difficulty receiving an HD signal most of time (even with an extra Radio Shack aerial). But other FM stations are great.

Great radio but I will be returning it because I thought the HD meant that I could get FM stations that have currently been taken over, e.g., 101.9 FM is now a Rock station. What I needed is a satellite radio.
