I have thought this was a regular magnifying glass. I could not read small prints at work or at home.
Good magnification but the light died in the first couple hours. A special tool is required to change the battery which is very small and easy to lose.
Does what it advertised -- magnifies small areas dramatically. I used it to look more carefully at coin dates but it could easily be used in other small areas.
The quality is better than expected. Heavy and well constructed except for the lens.The focal distance is very tight, but that is expected with such a large magnification. The LED lights are extremely bright so you get a lot of glare and reflection back. It's almost too bright. But the biggest disappointment is the fact that 50% of what you can see is distorted due to the optics. The section in the center is very clear, but only that section of the lens. I also got a 30X loupe and it is very clear for over 90% of the field of vision. I use it almost entirely, I only use this only for areas that are too dark.
