InStep Safari Single Stroller

I purchased this stroller about a year ago, and have only used it a handful of times. I have not used it as much as a like because it is very large, bulky, and heavy. It is a hassle for me to just get it out of the house to unfold it. I did, however, like the fact that it moves smoothly and had a lot of room for my son to lay in and relax when I went for my walks/jogs. I also wished that the seat would stay in an upright position because as my son would lay in the stroller, the seat would fall back into a reclined position. I found that that made it difficult for my son to reach for his sippy cup. Overall, I plan to look for another, smaller, compact jogging stroller.

Overall, it's a good sturdy stroller, easy setup, easy fold down & definitely built to last. Except it's quite heavy for daily use, rated at around 32 lbs (which is 5 - 7 lbs heavier than it's competitors in the market, which cost only about $5 - $10 more). Mind you, I bought this in 2010 and am writing a review in 2012, back then it was the best deal around, obviously the competitors have closed the gap since. My biggest peeve overall came down to filling air in the front tire. The molded rims, especially for the front one is just too low to the stem valve. I had to purchase 90 degree air adapter with a low profile just so I could fill the air. I have 3 pumps (A standard size upright pump, a tiny hand pump to fill footballs, etc and my compressor with many adapters) and they all were too big to fit into the tight space. Another consideration would be to purchasing and replacing the valve with a snap-in stem valve with a semi curve pointing to the outside of the rim rather than just straight up and down, for easier access, about a $2 upgrade. None the less, it's fulfills it purpose, but just recently I needed to purchase a stroller for my brother's kid and found quite a few out there as I said previously they weight less for about $5-$10 more, if not the same somewhere online and I prefer the spoke wheels for easier access to the stem valve.

My 13 month old son loves this stroller! He falls asleep in it every time we go for a walk or jog. It is so nice that it lays all the way back or sits up. My son would much rather is lay down the whole time :) This is my first jogging stroller and I love it so much! The red color is so bright! I also like the window feature as it allows my son to look up at me and for me to also check on him. I have heard bad reviews about the storage underneath, but I have found that its not that bad. It might be hard to get a huge diaper bag in it, but I don't usually take my full size diaper bad when I go for a job. The cup holders hold sippy cups/snacks. I would definitely recommend this stroller to anyone looking for an inexpensive deal!! I would even recommend this over higher priced joggers that my friends have bought.

I'm not out jogging with this stroller, I only wanted something to take my grandson out for walks. The larger wheels on the jogging strollers makes for a nicer ride for the baby than the everyday strollers. I dont lock the front wheel on this and only going at a fast paced walk, smooth ride without noise. I don't know about faster pace. The handle is perfect height for me and I'm 5'9". I don't pack alot of stuff when I walk so the storage is enough. One point.... check the placement of the valve stem before you buy an airpump... the front tire is tricky,,, not so much room. I'm very happy with what I got.

I have never written a review before but I felt compelled to write one on this joggiging stroller! I LOVE it!! I have had it for 2 weeks and I have used it for 2 mile fast walks with my 11 month old son every day! I can't see any reason to pay more for another stroller when this has all you need. It's (1# a smooth ride #2# the canopy moves all the way forward and catches in place which enables me to keep his face out of the sun #3# there is a tray for me and 1 for him #4# the seat back reclines #5# super easy to put together, it less than 10 minutes #6) it's easy to push... I read some of the comments about the handle not moving, it doesn't but I can see a reason it would need to, it is positioned perfectly. There is a bar near the basket underneath and it limits what you can put in the basket. The only thing that I see as a con for me is the childs tray comes across my childs line of sight right not but I know as he grows it will be fine. So, for now I open the tray and rotate it down to the side. Don't hesitate, buy this stroller, you will be glad you did!
