The original purchased spa (2015 summer) had a defected tubing inside the inflatable main tub therefore it was filling up the inside of the inflatable part with water all season long... The time I have realized, was a few months after the purchase date, so it was no issue to cut up to get some peaces sent back to Intex (on my cost) and get a replacement part. When I got the replacement part it was damaged (manufacturing defect) so I had to send back the whole thing on my cost which was like $200 due to its weight and size. Then I got a good replacement part after a few months of wait time so it arrived in its mid season. Set it up, run for few months. End of season deflated and stored it in its own box in a storage facility. Set it up for this season, and within 2 weeks one of the main support lines gave up, which made two holes on the inner wall of the inflatable piece so now its leaking air. After all I have contacted Intex support, they said they cant replace the part, due to the original purchase time was back in 2015 and therefore the one year warranty is over - which I agree on all the other parts except the replaced parts which should have an additional one year warranty on it. They send damaged parts, they handle all warranty based on the "original purchase date" which will not cover any parts I had to replace due to pure manufacturing. I would not recommend any Intex product especially their Spa product line.
I was amazed with this tub. I had it nearly a year with no problems. High powered jets, heater kept up well if jets weren't on. Then I had an issue with some black flakes blowing out of the base unit, and some errors caused by that. I was lucky that I had my receipt, and was within warranty. They shipped a new base, but even though it had 2 outlets instead of 3, it was supposed to work with my tub. It didn't, water flowed out of the unused tub port. So they shipped me a new 2 connection tub. I was surprised and happy. I was setting up a new location for my tub, and it took me longer than the 15 day warranty after reciept period to do so (mind you, it took them a month to get me the tub). After finally getting it set up again (after not having a tub to use for 2 months plus), I discovered that the tub is defective, with 4 separated ribs in 2 locations, the new pump is half as powerful , and the heater can't maintain at least a 102 temp in a 60 degree location . The old base held open tub temp, with jets on, at 102, in a 48 degree location. And this new configuration will always pump air, not like the original unit I purchased and was amazed with. I have bought 6 to 7 thousand dollars worth of Intex products and recommend them. This issue is seriously frustrating. I got downgraded, sent a defective tub they won't warranty now, and all I wanted was the good thing I bought in the 1z5t place!
The spa arrived fast and I set it up in my basement, I am a renter so this was the perfect choice. I have very bad arthritis and this was a god send in the mornings. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is after 3 months I got an error code E90, water flow problem, I followed all of the trouble shooting steps to no avail. I started reading the negative reviews in here about intex support and instantly got nervous. When I called for support, as everyone said it took awhile on hold to get through but once I did I was pleasantly surprised, sounded like a woman from the Midwest and walked me through the warranty procedure. The entire call was about 45 minutes but it was approved and the new part was shipped the next day. (yesterday) It is scheduled for delivery in 5 days, if the part arrives and fixes the issue, I would have given 6 stars for product and support. I will follow up after it arrives.
OK i read through many posts here never found all my answers so here is what Ive found out in the first week. Box come well packed some broken parts and some missing items but nothing to stop me from getting it going. It setup easy for just one person and I'm disabled and over 60, I had it going in less than 2hrs i turned it on started it to warming and noticed a yellow ring around the top of the liner after 30 minutes and wiped it off and feels and looks like OIL. it's not got any worse yet and I jumped in just to get the feel of it. Its not really setup for 4 people unless you really like touching there legs arms and other body parts. Its nice for one person to move around in and if you have a better half it would be nice and cozy but that's about it. I liked to have the jet running on my back and my feet across to where the other jet across would massage my feet. This is where only good for on comes in but if your just in it to soak and fold your legs up 4 could fit and just enjoy a chat and soak.
Set-up was easy and we were enjoying our new spa within a couple of days, but.... After less than two weeks of being up, the water level started to drop quickly, and then we noticed the sides of the tub were very hard and bulging. We went to let air out and there was the missing water coming out of the air valve. We followed the set-up instructions carefully, and the problem did not occur until after we used it a few times, so we are guessing the tub is defective. Sadly, we spent about as much time setting it up and taking it down (we had to drain all of the water from inside the liner...pain) as we did enjoying it. Thankful for Walmart's customer friendly return policy.
