I love how accurate this monitor is. I know when to open the windows to reduce my CO2 levels (I cook with gas). I had no idea just how high the CO2 and ppms got from pan frying meat on my gas stove. It gives me such peace of mind to know when my air quality is in the healthy range.
i've been shopping for a monitor since the wildfires last year but couldn't decide. after doing a lot more research this year, i finally decided on the IQ Air and i'm so glad i did. set up was simple and the interface is incredibly intuitive. i love that it gives the AQI forecast and tells me what the outdoor air quality in my area is like as well as letting me know what it's like indoors. i also love that the app lets me see what the air quality is like indoors when i'm away (comes in handy when we forget to turn on the range hood). i would definitely it and am considering purchasing the outdoor monitor as well.
This works great and it is very accurate and lets you know when the air quality is bad! The only bad part is trying to hook it up to our WiFi which is not easy and if the WiFi goes out, it does not reconnect itself, so we have just left it off for now.
Perhaps had I bought this first I might not have purchased two of the IQAir HealthPro filter systems. With this monitor I know when the air is bad and therefore need to turn my filters on. Our summers have fires and our winters usually have pretty serious inversions where the air really gets bad, but this year so far we have escaped these bad inversions and with the monitor I have been able to not run the filters thereby significantly extending the filter lives. I seriously would recommend the Air Quality Monitor to anyone concerned about the quality of the air in their neighborhood and in their homes. Without this, you are just guessing. Buy this first and use it to help you decide if you really do need your air treated. If the readings say you need help, then I enthusiastically recommend the Health Pro Series filters. Super easy to use and provided valuable info into how our cooking without using our exhaust fan was giving us really poor indoor air quality. We saw air quality at unsafe levels from normal cooking. The exhaust fan really makes a positive difference. Outstanding real time info.
