There is no way to adjust the EQ without a smartphone and downloading its app. This is 50 years backwards. The eq is 3-band and can only be bumped up or down by TWO increments. And the v2 model can't even to that. Overpriced.
I couldn't believe how good that it sounded, I never knew what good quality sounded like, where have I been. It is a little heavy build, but honestly it doesn't bother me at all.
The sound quality is OUT OF THIS WORLD! JBL knocked it out of the park with this one! It's a bit on the heavy side, but my husband has no problem with it. Recommend highly!
It's a great sound system fills the whole room. We use it for a dance class and some social events. It's heavy and not somthing you want to carry far 6.7kg The only issue is the app it would be nice to be able to turn the levels up and down a bit more as in small rooms the base is to much. Also the app keeps opening over the top of other apps even when it's already connected and keeps trying to connect but that's an app issue
I've had my JBL Boombox 2 for just over one year. The battery will no longer charge to its full capacity. I've used two different Boombox 2 chargers and left it plugged in for a day and the charge indicator light won't move past halfway. It works, but the battery life is obviously significantly diminished. I've tried a factory reset with no improvement. I contacted customer support and was advised that I'd need to take it to a repair shop since the one year warranty has expired. I received it as a gift so I don't have the receipt. I was told the battery is expected to last 500-5000 charge cycles. I don't use or charge the speaker on a daily basis, so I haven't come close to to those numbers. Pretty disappointing for a JBL product.
