Jimmy Dean Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit Sandwich, 36 oz, 8 Count (Frozen)

The egg, sausage and cheese are very good, but the biscuits are terrible. They destroy the good taste, so we threw them away and used regular toast or bread and that was a very much improvement and were very good. Biscuits had a nasty taste unlike any biscuit.

I eat these biscuits almost every morning for my breakfast. They used to really be good sized and have good cheese on them now for some reason, they have changed the size as well as the cheese, which I don't even use. I use great value sharp cheese on them, which tastes much better than the liquid oil cheese that they put on them. I would definitely recommend them in the great value sliced sharp cheese for a quick morning breakfast.

JIMMY DEAN SAUSAGE EGG %26 CHEESE BISCUIT. I have tried several brands %26 Jimmy Dean is the best when I prepare it my way. I dropped a frozen biscuit on the floor %26 it broke into 3 pieces. I microwaved it %26 the 3 pieces tasted like a real biscuit which led me to think regular microwaving is not heating the biscuits well so I experimented. I have not been able to recreate the real biscuit taste but I have found a way to make the end product have a more consistent taste with a little more work. **Break the product apart into 2 open faced sandwiches--biscuit %26 meat on one side %26 biscuit, egg, cheese on the other side. Cheese should be between the biscuit %26 the egg. **Place the two halves on a paper towel (on microwave safe plate) with egg side Down one half %26 meat side Down other half. Cover with paper towel--I don't wrap, just cover. Microwave on defrost (3 my unit) for 1 minute. Turn each half over, cover with paper towel %26 again microwave on defrost for 1 minute. Put the egg half on TOP of the meat, cover with paper towel %26 microwave for 55 seconds. Let it cool in microwave 1 minute . It is still hot so be careful but eat as warm as you can. This has given me the best %26 most consistent taste. **Don't forget to cover with paper towel at all stages else the biscuit will dry out %26 shrink in size. Jimmy dean seems to use less cheese as filler than others but fine with me as I don't care that much for cheese; however, the purpose of having the egg/ cheese up on the 2nd defrost %26 on top of the meat in the final cooking is to keep the cheese in the sandwich %26 minimize the amount that melts onto the paper towel.

These sausage, egg and cheese biscuits are delicious. I have one with jelly every morning for breakfast. I thaw one overnight in the fridge and next morning heat 40 seconds in 1100 watt microwave. Let set in microwave 1 minute enjoy. Find your best way to heat it and you'll be satisfied. The sausage and egg is tender. Excellent source of protein. Strawberry jam good if you like that with them.

Within the last year, they made the biscuit slightly smaller %26 a little less cheese BUT THEY ARE BETTER. Biscuits are softer and taste better. In markets here, most of the boxes of 12 are not the new ones. You can tell immediately. In old ones, you tear apart the plastic; These are individually wrapped. Boxes of 4 are usually the improved product also. These do not get harder as they cool!
