I just tried this product over the weekend and it was GREAT! I am African-American with no chemical relaxers in my hair for about 13 years. I take care of my hair myself so I experiment with wash and go styles but I do really great when wearing my hair straight. At first I was skeptical because it looked so thick and was worried about putting a thick product on my hair - I thought it would be too heavy and greasy - my hair is THICK and will soak up anything. LOL I did 1.5 pumps on wet hair (avoiding the roots like it said) and blow dried it out. When I flat-ironed it... OMG...it was sooo shiny and my hair was so soft and smooth. It's even bouncier than usual. I totally recommend this product for African-American hair. I would just try it with 1 pump if your hair isn't very thick.
I got this at the beginning of summer to help with frizziness and a humidity. I live in Tennessee where humidity in the summer gets extremely high. By using this I was able get my hair straighter than it's ever been and had no frizz even after being outside all day. This stuff is amazing. It smells great and leaves a nice shine. Highly recommend!
I have been using this for years and I absolutely love it, but it has become so expensive in the last month or so that I can't afford it anymore, why did it get so expensive all of a sudden ??????? Very dissappointed in John Freda for making it so expensive for some !!!!
This is a great silicone serum.. It's best when used with other Frizz Ease products. Real talk: speaking as an engineer, silicones are not bad for the hair. They are synthetic oils, but they do better than oils. They give you days of moisture retention, they prevent frizz, and they minimize single strand knots. They are removed from the hair the same way that oils are, with any cleanser. A little goes a long way. You need no more than a few drops to a nickel sized amount. The person who started the internet rumor about silicones being evil came out with her own product line. The first generations of her products were silicone free and awful.
I bought this about 3 weeks ago & I am extremely disappointed. It did nothing for the frizz. And it made my hair feel kind of stuff after it dried. I have tried a few other Frizz-Ease products & they didn't work either. Will not be wasting anymore money on this line of product.
