"Jungle Captive" (1944) is a terrifying tale of mad science run amok and the final adventure in the suspenseful saga of the deadly ape woman created in "Captive Wild Woman"(1943). In this tense sequel to "Jungle Woman"(1944), an insane biochemist obsessed with theories of resurrecting the dead, plots a ghoulish scheme with disastrous results. Stendahl dispatches his menacing henchman Mollock to kidnap the corpse of the infamous ape woman from the morgue. After shooting the coroner in cold blood, Mollock brings the dead body to a laboratory hidden in a country cottage where Stendahl has trapped his beautiful research assistant. He extracts her blood to transfuse the frozen ape woman. But when the malevolent creature is revived, she turns on the scientist and goes on a relentless rampage. The homicide squad investigating the coroner's murder arrives at the lab just in time for a shocking showdown and a lethal shootout.
