I got this shade to replace an old one, and I like it very much. The material is a little stiffer than my old one, but it is still nice. It lets light in, but still provides privacy. One detail I wasn't clear about before ordering is the wand that raises and lowers the shade needs to be mounted on the window casing. It's ok, but I prefer the old style with cords (I couldn't find that style anywhere - probably hard to find due to child safety concerns). The price was definitely cheaper than any other I found online, and I know that when I order from Wal-Mart it's easy to return to the local store if I need to. Overall I think it's a good value for the price and does the job.

I bought these blinds for my kids room. They are cords less and the wand is high enough that my 2 year olds cannot reach it. One problem I have with it is the fabric. It is cheap fabric so when you raise the blind you have to keep stopping to straighten the fabric so it will fold properly. The biggest problem is the way it is constructed to fold. There is a piece of mesh connected from the rod to the bottom of the blind. This mesh is only connected in 4 places to the fabric to fold it. I have to make sure the mesh is connected every time I raise the blind. The mesh can come unconnected so easily, even when I am trying to fix it, the mesh keeps coming out. If they had a better way of connecting the mesh to the fabric it would be a much better product.

I bought these for my baby's room - it took me a very long time to hang, and when I did finally get them up, they looked cheap. They did not roll up evenly and the lining did not stay attached to the linen shade. All around, these shades were poorly designed and not worth the money. I took them back.
