26" MENS OAKWOOD CRUISER BICYCLE

The box arrived at the front door brought it into the house open the box and there was no hardware to put the bike together I had to put the box in the car and take it back to Walmart for a refund. The refund was issued and if I want to buy a bike like this I will buy it already put together from this experience this is what I learned.

Bought this bike for the wife for Christmas. Spent the entire day after Christmas assembling and trying to figure out why chain won't stay on. Comes with nearly everything done except seat, handlebars, basket and front tire attached. The chain mechanism is put on in the factory. My wife got on, peddled down the driveway and to the next mailbox, then the chain came off. Tried several times with same result. Bike has this little 'third' gear that is plastic and apparently supposed to keep chain from coming off of main gears. I tried to call 'Kent' bikes, but they were off enjoying their Christmas holiday. I called the next day and they asked me to send pictures. They also offered to send another gear, which seemed pointless to me. I sent the pictures and I am still waiting to hear back. Will probably return it to Wal-Mart tomorrow if no success. Tried to upload photo, but page keeps saying 'time limit reached'

This cycle is great for the aged, that has a fear from a normal cycle, falling from any disability or weakness. It has truly made a difference and allows us to get out and ride through the neighborhood with ease yet getting our exercise. What a great gift to ourselves. We have suggested to other elderly or partially disabled family to try our bikes before they go purchase, just in case their knees will not function properly enough to use.

When I picked up my trike at my local Walmart, I was so happy at how cute the bike is. But when I attempted to ride it, I failed miserably. The steering was crooked and the trike itself is fairly flimsy. I'm a heavy woman and the lightweight frame and very narrow tires did not give me a sense of sturdiness or comfort. The biggest flaw is that the pedals are nearly directly beneath the seat so I couldn't get a full extension when pedaling. To top that off, the seat which adjusts easily, kept sliding back down. I'm recovering from multiple knee surgeries and this trike was meant to be my recovery tool, but I returned it the day I picked it up. Heartbroken and disappointed.

The 26" Kent adult tricycle gets 5 stars from us, here is why: 1) Well packaged, not a scratch on it. 2) Little assembly required, all parts like screws, smartly pre- inserted in holes 3) Purchased on sale $50.00 off, normal WM price of $249.99, we paid &199.99 4) Bought as a gift for my wife who is 4' 10" tall, she is comfortable with this 26"trike. 5) Trike Seat and handlebars easy to adjust for short or taller riders, I am 6'1" 7) Safe and stable riding experience, front and rear brakes function well 8) Well constructed giving a sturdy, reliable and smooth ride. 9) Great value even at normal WM retail of $249.99. The only drawback was on Walmart. Trikes have to be ordered online which is OK, the Walmart online order confirmed an arrival on Fri Sept 9th, it did not arrive until a week later on 9/16.
