I got the gate in and it was so badly bent

Strong and well designed. However, there are 2 negative points without which it would be perfect. The 1st is the screws provided which are too weak and most of them got snaped. Probably, if you will screw them in a hardwood stud (as my case) they will fail even if you drill a guiding hole. It is better to use other set of tough screws instead. The 2nd is the wrong description. This item is 24.6 inches high and not 31 as described. Overall, it is good and I recommend it but with using your own set of screws (if your wall is hard wood).

I bought this hate specifically because it said no damage to walks out doorways and does not require told for installation. Once received I found it was exactly like all other too if stair gates that require hardware be screwed in to the wall and/or banister. I don't know in what works that would be zero damage and no told required, but I'm annoyed. Don't make the same mistake I did. It absolutely causes damage and requires tools to install. I'm sure it'll work just fine but now I need another piece so I don't have to still into my banister.

I spent quite a while to search at Walmart website to buy this. Obviously it is a returned one as there was a previous mailing label covered by a white label other than the mailing label to my address. this is not the worst part. the worst part is I spent time to open the box, read the manual, count the parts then found two parts missing. I spent time again to take it back to Walmart. totally waste of time.
