Kidde Battery-Powered Electrochemical Carbon Monoxide Detector

After around three years it started giving a double beep every thirty seconds, indicating the battery is dead, and there's no way to stop it. I put it in a padded envelope in the garage, but if you stand outside the garage door you can hear it.

Purchased this unit less than a year ago and it is already beeping twice every 30 seconds to signal that the unit is at the end of its life!

I bought 2 of these units in early October 2022 and now, early January 2023, one of them is beeping every 30 seconds. Driving my dog and humans crazy. How does it stop. Battery was supposed to last 10 years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the most that this is battery powered so that it actually stand up higher in the 4-5 feet range and not having to plug it in show at the bottom of my walls. It's not big and bulky so it blends right in and it is small enough that most don't ever know its there. I like the test button which helps clear my mind. I'm very happy with this.

These are easy to install and certainly will alert you if there is carbon monoxide detected. The alert is loud and reassuring should this ever be detected while one is sleeping. The unit is also small enough to be mounted quite honestly anywhere. Another nice feature is that it will inform you if the batteries are running low; it doesn't just die. Great life saver
