The Mac's 1970 fourth studio album & transitional first post-Peter Green release runs the gamut from Jeremy Spencer's throwback Holly/Vincent influenced rockabilly & Danny Kirwan's melodic pop, to the band's signature rock riffs. Christine McVie contributes keyboards & backing vocals & sketched the colorful album cover artwork. She didn't officially join the band until after this album was released. Key tracks include quot;This Is the Rockquot;, quot;Station Manquot;, quot;Hi Ho Silverquot;, quot;One Togetherquot;, quot;Mission Bellquot; & more. The band produced this effort with Martin Birch (Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash, Jeff Beck) engineering.
