Knorr Sopa Mexicana/Dry Soup Mix Chicken with Rice 2.4 oz

I love the flavor of this soup. I give it 4 stars cause it is almost all broth with very little substance. I made it with 3-1/2 c water instead of 4, and added roast chicken pieces and a handful of minute instant rice. And still I ate it all at 1 meal. So you have to add solids, but the taste was surprisingly great!

I tried a bite of just the broth, and that was tasty, but I ended up grilling some chicken and adding some noodles to make this more of a meal. I would use this as more of a starter for a meal or a component of a chicken noodle soup.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't tried this type of soup before (instant soup), but this dry soup mix is very easy to prepare. We boiled some water and added the mix, waited for it to return to a boil and let it simmer for about 10 minutes and it's ready to be served. Overall, this definitely felt a little underwhelming. I had higher expectations since it was my first time trying instant soup. The taste was good, but this might be better/more suitable for someone who's looking for something quick or for someone who's under the weather. Note the outcome is nothing like in the photo unfortunately, and just FYI- the “chicken” is just flavor, not actual pieces of chicken. However, considering this is an instant pack with the intent to be quick and simple, I wouldn't reach for this on a daily basis, but more so on a camping trip or any day I feel sick or don't have much time to cook.
