Material is not wood...composite product....looks gorgeous...brittle towards the edges, not scratch proof...scratches extremely easily formed.....the inside struts came twisted that made assembly harder...One time product....don't hope to reassemble it again as it is of composite wood and once screwed with bolt the holes loosen ! Spend some extra buck and buy real wood material...uses a lot of bolt like wooden fixtures that might make the bolt holes to crack even with slightest mistake ! Bed slats are necessary in order to distribute weights evenly otherwise the middle inside strut might break ! The only thing that looks great is the appearance !

This bed is very sturdy versus the reviews I have read about some of the other beds. The wood is thicker, and the construction is very nice and sturdy. It takes a couple of hours to build, but it's worth it. The wood used in this bed is not the cheap stuff that wobbles when you put it all together (and trust me I have had my share of furniture like that). This bed is comfortable, reliable, and adds a very modern look to a room. There are wooden slats that go all the way across the width of the bed, so don't worry about falling through. And this bed is technically made just for use with a matress, but my husband used both to give us a very high bed. You won't regret purchasing this bed.

This bed is very nice, its all we expected. It wasnt hard to assemble at all (it took about 3 hrs, between 2 girls)! The finish is very nice and so is the style. My 16 year old daughter loves it because its modern yet funky. She loves everything about it and has gotten many compliments on it. For the price, it great. Not to much and not too cheap. Its very sturdy and looks like you paid a lot more. I definately recommend this product!

Like they say you get what you pay for. The first day I put my bed frame together the wood that holds the bed frame together already broke. The way the bed frame is put together is not well designed. Easy to break. The only thing good about it is that it looks nice and right now I have my son's diaper box holding the end of the bed rails together. I would recommend that if you want a platform bed frame to look and see how the pieces are put together otherwise it won't last long. I would not recommend this bed frame. Only had it for 2-3 weeks but like I said it broke on the first day.

read other reviews before i bought the bed, and actually it only took 2 people to put the bed together in about an hour. not as hard as others say. Love the bed, and its very sturdy as well. Great buy in my opinion for the money. used the site to store, and all pieces were there, no scratches or anything.
