The Classic Squall lightens up We introduced our Classic Squall? in 1983. And boy, did you love it. It’s become one of our best-selling jackets, and we get the feeling there are lots of you out there who would love to use a Classic Squall as your year-round daily driver. There’s just one problem: the original, lined with warm fleece, isn’t exactly cut out for the warmer months. Sometimes you need to lighten up a little. For those times, we’ve created the Lightweight Classic Squall Jacket. Just like the original, it has an extra tough nylon shell made from waterproof, windproof fabric, 360? reflectivity to help keep you visible at night, and a raised collar so you don’t have to stick your neck out in the wind and rain. There’s just one big difference: inside, we gave it a lightweight mesh lining to make it breezier, more flexible and – of course – lighter, making this an excellent choice for warmer weather or warmer climates.

Durable shell made from waterproof, windproof nylon fabric Lightweight mesh lining keeps it breathable Classic Squall styling with banded hem and cuffs 360? reflectivity helps keep you visible at night Zip front with chin guard and interior storm guard Secure zippered pockets 100% nylon shell. Machine wash. Imported

I purchased this jacket for a young man's 13th birthday. He was thrilled when he opened it. The jacket is made well and fits true to size. The color is as shown on the online order. It is a good jacket for fall and spring as it is not made for very cold weather. Rather, it will keep the chill off in the fall and spring.

I have been wearing Squall jackets for decades, and I was pleased to see this lighter one offered. It is great for chilly days when a heavy jacket is too much. The quality is the same as the Squalls, and I am very pleased with the fit. It is worth noting the zipper is on the left like British or women's jackets.

Thru the years, my husband and I have worn several Lands' End Squall jackets, loving each one of them. When traveling, it's protective to wear a bright color, which this is! My husband looks forward to wearing it as the summer season's warmth comes to an end.

I were the classic squall jacket most of the winter unless it's extremely cold. This lightweight jacket is perfect for the spring and summer when you don't need so much warmth. This is a well made jacket that I expect to get lots of use out of. One word on the size. I usually always take an XL, but this runs a little small. It fit, but there was little room for layering. I traded for an XXL and that fit much better.

Perfect early fall jacket. Keeps out the wind w/o retaining too much body heat. Mesh lining helps in that regard. Left handed zip is disconcerting at first, but one gets used to it. Rain resistant, but not repellent. Pockets adequate. Perfect shade of dark blue. Note: According to the size chart (chest 42 - 44), I ordered a large, but had to exchange it for a medium.
