Lands End Mens Short Sleeve Comfort-First Mesh Polo Shirt

My first reveiw was not favorable but it needs some revision. I said the shirt was to long in the body and after the first washing it remains to long but the inset sown sleeves, which I said created a look ...."Only a Romulan would find fashionable" lost the stiff edge and falls more naturally. The cotton material of the shirt is comfortable and cool. It was a very good buy for the money and I wish I purchased a couple more.

Good quality shirt. I am now a fan of the stretch--it makes it much easier to dress my husband who has multiple sclerosis. The shirt holds its shape and color after several washings--haven't noticed any shrinking. The ginger peach color is a muted orange shade not really peachy at all. I hope Land's End will offer more bright spring pastel colors like last year's offerings. How about a periwinkle blue shirt or bright lilac/lavender shirt?

This is not the cotton mesh fabric I was expecting, but more of a stretchy/ spandex type material. Same problem with the sail rigger shirts- the original 100% heavy weight cotton has been replaced with this stretchy fabric. The quality seems ok, just not the same 100% cotton polos I prefer.

The shirt itself is generally fine, the problem is that sizes are not consistent across the Lands End polo-shirt product line. This shirt - and the ones with different colors - are SIGNIFICANTLY bigger than other Lands End polo shirts. It is so large that it is wearable, but barely. Sizes for similar products across the organization need to be the same; or at least very similar.

I usually but the Pima cotton polos. Tried the mesh polo purchased 2 last year. After 10 -12 washes, the colors faded and pilled somewhat and button holes kept unbuttoning, seemed to stretch, although the overall fit was fine. I'm 5' 11” 170 and wear a medium tall regular fit. The tall stays tucked in when swinging the golf club. Contacted customer service and I'm sending the mesh shirts back for store credit. Typical excellent customer service from lands end. Never had quality issues with other lands end garments as a 30 year customer. The Pima cotton shirt lasts forever and it's worth spending a few bucks more. Doesn't lose its shape or fade. I have several pima's that 5 years old and worn many times.
