I started using these pads a couple weeks ago. I immediately realized the adhesive was subpar. It did not stick to any of my bras and would continuously roll down in my bra and not stay in place which led to leaks. I stopped using them after a few days, but I have a box of 100 so didn't want to abandon them altogether. I started to use them again but this go round I would take them in and out of my bra when I took my breasts out to nurse to avoid using the poor adhesive. After about a day or so of using them, my right areola and nipple began to hurt. It was an odd pain I had never experienced (this is my second child and second time breast feeding). I didn't know if my baby was latching poorly, I needed to empty my breast more or what; it was a very odd pain. During one of my nighttime feedings it dawned on me that it could be the breast pads. I stopped using them and switched back to my cotton reusable pads and the pain slowly went away. It has been over 48 hours and the pain has not returned leading me to conclude that it was, in fact, due to these breast pads. I am not sure what caused this, but I did some research and saw other women reported experiencing the same thing, and some even reported a chemical smell on the pads. I did not experience the smell, but I unfortunately experienced the pain. I am beyond displeased and disappointed with these breast pads.
I have been using this for almost two months and I think it's just fine. I would consider buying a cheaper one with the same quality or a better one at the same price. Their absorbency is limited. From time to time, the milk would leak. My clothes and bed sheets would be soaked when I woke up. Another issue I have is that they could end up peeling off or moving around. They often roll up and stick to the breast. If you remove it, you may experience pain. The material of their pads is also a concern for me; it could irritate the skin, nipples, and make you uncomfortable. The stick on their back also does not work well on some clothing or bra materials.
I used these with my last child and found they are cheaper on this website than any of our local stores. They capture all the leakage and don't stick to your skin like some other brands I've used.
I had my 5th child in February and have always used these pads. So convenient and easy to use and never had an issue with them leaking through to my clothes. Other brands seem to be thicker and I could see them under my bra and shirts.
These are my favorite nursing pads. They work well and don't clump under clothing. I've been using them for years. I was sad when I couldn't find them in store, but thank goodness they are still available online.
