Laura Mercier Face Velour Powder Puff

Didnt know this was ever something Id want, but oh man I loved it. I have super oily skin in some areas abs very dry in others. This definitely helped mattify without the drying aspect. It works so well with the product. The only thing Id recommend is separate packaging thats flat so you can dip it into the powder easier! Really though, this product is now a staple in my makeup routine.

I have used a smaller version of this puff before and have found that although it applies well at first, I have found that once its' grip starts accumulating a lot of powder, it tends to start applying more unevenly. Personally, I like the look of a brush more as I feel it gives a softer, more evenly applied look overall.

I wasnt exactly sure how to use this product when I first received it, but I have found it can be used in several different ways. My favorite way to use it is after I have applied setting spray I go in with the puff gently to help dry and press in the products on my face.

I might like this more than the actual other products I recieved I think this works better for me than brushes or sponges. Totally understandable if it's pricey though. It can be a little awkward to use-- folding to get even powder on it-- and clean. Texture kind of reminds me of a stuffed animal.

I'll use a gentle rolling motion while I pinch the puff in half to set my under eyes..they have never looked better and the staying power of my concealer has never been been this good. Very happy with this! Took one star off bc I honestly feel the puff could be cheaper and I imagine the results would be the same with any velour pouf and the LM powder.
