I received this product as part of the incentive review program. The box fell apart very easily but the way the puzzle is displayed in the box is visually appealing. The globe is fun and the continents are a great way to teach kids about geography. My son was bored with it after one use. I think it would be more fun if the pieces also had detachable animals and places as a way to make learning about the continents more interactive for him, versus the parents simply reading off of the included packaging. My three y/o son and our whole family really enjoyed playing with the globe. It's great fun pointing out the different countries. We also teach about all the different animal toys we have around the house and which countries or continent it comes from. I'm pretty happy the product is sturdy and my son can be rough with the toy. I received this product as part of an incentivized review program for my kindergarten classroom. My students were very excited to be "toy testers", and couldn't wait to get started! The box was easy to open, but I was not able to save it for later packaging. The puzzle was very engaging for my students and they all wanted to play with it at once. We found out that it is best for 1-2 players. The students found the puzzle pieces to be a bit tricky to match up and place back in the correct hole, but found it challenging and continued on. As they played with the globe they wondered about the name of each continent and thought it would talk to them, but it didn't. We eventually talked about each of the continents and learned a few facts from the activity guide. This puzzle globe would work nicely in an introduction geography lesson about the Earth. I will use the globe again when we study Earth Day in a few weeks. All and all the puzzle globe was fun and engaging for my kindergarten students. The one con from the class was it didn't talk for reinforcement of the names.
This newly developed puzzle globe is amazing! I have never seen any teaching globe like this before. The bright and fun colorful colors grasp the children's attention. This globe is unique with puzzle continents that help children learn about the world in a fun but different way. This is a great way to help children memorize all of the continents (it comes with fun stickers for each continent). The puzzle pieces fit perfectly in the outlines so it is easier to find where the continents are located. This a great product! Even parents can learn a thing or too about this globe! :) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The packaging was colorful and sturdy. My preschoolers were anxious to play with the globe. Once out of the package, few instructions were needed to begin play. It could be used as a puzzle without too much trouble. The shaped pegs are great for getting the pieces in the correct places. The color coordinated names help the students to be successful in putting them on the correct continents. It does require an adult to take time to go through some of the animals and landmarks to explain what and where they are. This is the best way to get the most out of the toy. Curious students then want to know more about the different places and what else is there. The instruction sheet list gave plenty of information to share while engaging with a child. This will become part of my animal lesson plans for next year. We will talk about the different animals and use the pieces of the globe to help the children learn about where in the world these animals live. Another teacher thought the globe should talk to tell children the information but I think it works best to engage a child with an adult. I was given this toy as part of an incentivized review program and I would recommend it to family and friends.
