LEGO - ART The Beatles 31198

Well I bought this for my dad since he's a massive Beatles fan. 1 star because the guy can't decide which Beatle to build and feels bad if he only builds one face... now he needs 3 more so he doesn't have to feel guilty.

I have been a fan of the Beatles since first seeing them on Ed Sullivan. One little quibble, and from reading the other reviews, it might just be me. Has any artist out there come up with a fix for Paul? To me he just doesn't look right. Again, maybe it's just me, overall I like this set. Would definitely recommend it to any Beatle fan.

These sets are terrific. Bought all four anticipating that they would soon be out of stock and they soon were (isn't everything these days). Always seemed perfectly clear to me that each set would make only one portrait, you just chose which portrait it would be. Added advantage is that there are always dots left over. By the time I make all four Beatles, I'll have quite a collection of colored dots. So far I've only completed Ringo and I'm really pleased how good it looks. Larger than I anticipated and the colors really pop out at you. A fabulous example of pointilism. The build isn't difficult, but you need to pay attention -- a great activity for those of us that are more or less shut in these days. Great sets.

Too many have stated they thought Lego mislead them into thinking they could build all four portraits with one set. Practice due diligence before ordering please. All reviews online clearly state you can build all four but only one at a time, as does the Lego site and the box art. I don't like to see a good product penalized for that. It was a jigsaw style fun project for me and I enjoyed the process doing George first and liking the end result a lot. I don't plan on displaying all four so I'll shoot a photo, dismantle and start another. No big deal, think of it as a 4 in 1 set. Great packaging, graphics and instructions Lego Team and even though I'm color blind I made it happen. Next time numbered bags will definitely help.
