LEGO - Ideas Home Alone 21330

Bought this for sons birthday gift, very disappointed with quality control as packet 5 had several missing pieces. Had to use my spares to manage it but I finally gave up building the set. Very disappointed that I could not finish building this set with my son on his birthday. Wish I could have bought something else with same amount of money. Please guys you need to check your sets before packing it

"Home Alone" is a beloved holiday classic that has captivated audiences since its release. The film, which features a young boy named Kevin McCallister who is left home alone during Christmas, is celebrated for its humor and heartwarming moments. Recently, I had the pleasure of building a set inspired by the movie, and I was impressed by the attention to detail in the various rooms, including the basement, which were accurately portrayed to mirror the original film set. One of the standout features of the set is the movement capabilities, particularly the train track turntable, which effectively recreates a memorable scene from the movie. Additionally, the design enhances playability, as the front walls can be opened to reveal the interior, allowing for immersive storytelling and imaginative play. A charming detail was the feature of the shelves in Kevin's brother's room that fall over, adding an interactive element that fans of the film will appreciate.

While this is a cool set, this is by far one of the worst buillds I have ever done. I was missing so many peices I had to make 2-3 requests for missing parts. I have to keep digging through all the bags to try and find missing parts and I had to stop and start building this so many times while I waited for parts it totally ruined the building experience for me. I am still even missing 1 piece which I need to order (see photo). I know my experience is prbably not the norm, but this set for me was just a horrible experience.

My daughters loved this film, bought back so many memories of watching and laughing together. Very enjoyable to build. One piece wrong colour brown sent and two small link pieces damaged. All three have been ordered. Would recommend especially if you love the film. Lots of little touches.

Absolutely amazing. I only own Harry Potter Lego until now, but Home Alone is my all time favourite movie, real nostalgia, it had to be done and I am truly happy I bought it. Took myself and my GF a while to put together but it was worth every penny!
