LEGO - Super Mario Wiggler's Poison Swamp Expansion Set 71383

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8 year old autistic son is obsessed with legos so I’m sure you can Imagine the look on his face when he received the Wiggler’s Poison Swamp Expansion Set. My husband and son got right to work adding it to his Super Mario Starter course. My son did stat the expansion kit was easy to put together and lot of fun. He couldn’t wait to take it apart and put it back together again. The LEGO’s are very durable (believe me when I say I know. My foot was in pain for aWeek) and stay in place with no problem. The colors are also very vibrant. I high recommend getting the Super Mario starter course prior to purchasing any expansion sets.

The set is so cute and colorful, but I was disappointed that it didn't include a hardcopy of building instructions and they had to use a device to access the instructions. My kids are on screens so much right now due to virtual school, so I look forward to activities that keep them entertained without screens. Other than that inconvenience, my kids and I love this set. The wiggling worm is so much fun and my kids love Mario's reaction when he falls into the poison swamp. They also love the flexibility for arranging the set and ability to be creative when combining this set with the starter course and other expansion sets. Overall, this is a fun, creative set that combines well with the starter course and other sets.

Before building, I downloaded the iPad app, which has easy-to-follow instructions. Or you can build your own course! There are 374 pieces and features a sliding platform, folding bridge and a detachable raft. There are action Lego's which have sound effects and music. Super cute set! My son and I highly recommend!

The best part about it is the instructions are available virtually on his iPad so it makes building simple. The colors are bright and easy to connect. We were able to add this s3et to our large bowsers castle set for more play scenarios. Legos come in separate numbered bags to make building simple. You can also interchange pieces form different sets to create larger worlds.

I feel like the Lego pieces capture the Mario characters and details well. The Lego set was easy for my son to put together with minimal help from me.
