Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant - Charcoal

Bought this clock in February. It broke within nine months. Volume quit working only works on the lowest volume. It won't turn up manually or with voice command. The alarm clock doesn't go off at all because of the volume, only goes off on volume one as well. This clock blows, it's not worth your money.

Excellent! I love the wake-by-light feature and that it acts as a google speaker. I also like that I can set the alarm using the swipe features, and it feels just like an alarm you would set on your phone. I was surprised by how small the item was when I first got it out of the packaging, but I actually like the small size because it gives me more space on my bed-side table.

I purchased two of the charcoal-colored Lenovo Smart Clocks with the Gooogle Assistant. I was really excited about this product because recently, I installed smart lighting into my home and wanted to work towards a "smart" home. Also, I liked the bedside clock's form factor because I had a Sharp alarm clock by my bedside for many years. When the product arrived, it was like Christmas. Once I got everything set up and used it for about a week, I noticed that some functions were not working correctly. When I went to listen to podcasts, the time announced by the Assistant was either randomly wrong or two hours behind. Using the Assistant features day-to-day, I noticed a significant delay between query and response (this could have been my internet connection, though). There were also things that I loved about this clock, as I said earlier, like the form-factor of the bedside clock. Also, I like the interface for setting alarms (which I still prefer over Google Nest Hub), which allows you to set recurring alarms without using your voice. At the end of the day, I returned my two clocks and purchased two Google Nest Hubs. The two issues that I had were enough to make me pony up the extra money for a first-party product. I wish I didn't have issues with the Lenovo clock, but I enjoy Google's interface better. Also, I know that I will be among the first to receive updates! Your experience may be different from mine, so I recommend trying the Lenovo clock before the Google Nest Hub. You may like it.

Mic hears you well. Don't have to be close. Good device to learn see if you like Google assistant. Finds radio stations quickly. Still learning how to use. Have to tell the system to dim at night. Although I thought I had it set to auto dim.

This clock is made by Lenovo, a computer company. Seems it would have enough "smarts" to please a wide segment of users. First, I like the color clock face. However, that clock face puts a "0" in front of the time between the 1 and 9 hours, so that 2:13 looks like 02:13. It should be simple for the to put an option if you want to see that leading 0. I think most people in the USA do not want that 0. When looking at the clock in the middle of the night, it is distracting and disturbs your sleep having to see that. Lenovo, please fix this in an update. Thanks. Secondly, once you connect to an SSID, you simply can't change it. If you want to change connection to a different SSID, it says you have to go through the configuration again. Why? Why can't you just choose from a list if available SSIDs and enter the password? Not good if you are travelling.
