[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a researcher and use this laptop to develop the tools required for my research. Have been using this laptop for nearly three weeks now, and I am extremely satisfied with its computing and battery performance. The AMD Ryzen 7 processor works extremely well for multi-threaded tasks like source compilation. I have setup a dual boot with Ubuntu and Windows 11 Pro. Getting around 7 hours of battery backup in Ubuntu while working locally without using the wireless much. The display is quite pleasant and colors are true. This laptop and its charger are very lightweight to carry around in the house or at work.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine meets all the criteria I had for a business laptop. 16GB ram, touch screen, multiple ports including HDMI, ethernet, thunderbolt, fingerprint reader, IBM/Lenovo mouse in the center of the keyboard. It has all the connectivity that I need and the freedom to operate with multiple monitors or on the go as a business laptop. Enjoy the experience thus far. A couple of complications with Windows 11 upgrade, but this seems to be working itself out now. And still better than a Mac for native Windows/Office applications. Was imperative that I could do everything in Excel, the Mac version of Excel was sub-optimal, but it works perfectly on this Lenovo machine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great specs for what it worth. Best for professionals who travel. 14" screen is small enough to sneek it into you travel bag. Great port options to connect all types of devices, including Ethernet port :). I have not found any querks with this laptop other than the brightness/colors on the screen. It is slightly on the lower end compared to others in the same range.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything works flawlessly on Linux which I use heavily for work. Wifi, Bluetooth, Sleep, etc all out of the box with no third party drivers. I have been waiting for several years for an AMD laptop with these specifications (8c16t, 4k, 32gb, etc) and couldn't be more happy with the purchase right now.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my E460 bought in 2016. It's thinner, lighter, much faster with so many improvements. The fan is nosier than E460. I need some time to get used to it. Maybe Lenovo can sacrifice weights and size a little bit for better cooling and a quieter fan.
