Do NOT like the changes made to the Lever 2000 bar soap. The new bar feels hard,dry and rough. It doesn't lather enough to get any on your body. Even the scent is lacking. I've used Lever 2000 for more than 10 years. Hate to change brands now but just can't use the soap the way it is now.
Have used the product for years, after Lever discontinued the "blue bar" (which remains the standard for people who had allergic skin to use an effective soap). It had worked OK, although it had started getting annoying difficult to find, with fewer and fewer stores stocking it. Now I just purchased some, and apparently they have re-formulated it. In the re-formulation, they have successfully: *Made the bars significantly smaller, something that already had been done to them once or twice before; *Made a previously easy-to-lather soap almost impossible to lather up now, even in soft water - NO idea why; and worst of all, *Returned the soap to one that my wife is allergic to. Now she can't use it at all. WHAT IS WITH THESE RE-FORMULATIONS, where nothing is re-formulated for the better??? I guess we have to go in search of a new and usable soap - again.
What was the reason for the change in the formula? The new formula doesn't lather and doesn't last and is harder to handle in the shower. I've used 'your soap bars for decades particularly the aloe and cucumber. How about bringing out the classic soap bars to the market as a better alternative to finding another soap company?
We have been using Lever soap for over 20 years and we do not like the new soap and packaging. The soap doesn't have the fragrance as before and it's waxy. The previous package was easy to open-just open the top of the box and voila! We don't have arthritis in our hands but for those who do, forget opening the new package in less than 5 minutes! Whether young or old it takes forever to open this paper package. We had several kids of different ages on our street open several packages and they were frustrated that they couldn't open this new packaging! We are switching to another brand. Based on the reviews I read the majority of us are very disappointed! "If it ain't broke why fix it".
New packaging is no big deal, but the new formula for the aloe soap is a HUGE disappointment! I've used the product years, and will sadly have to switch brands. It doesn't lather at all, so I have to re-soap my cloth over and over again. Please switch back! Keep the new packaging, but pull the plug on the new formula!
