LG - 1.8 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking and EasyClean - Stainless Steel

I choose this microwave for the name. I thought spending a bit more and getting a name brand I've heard of would be a good idea. I thought it would last me a while. Where are the days of microwaves lasting 5 or 10 years!? I called LG and no one was of any help?

I recently bought this microwave to replace a competitor's brand. We chose LG due to the features and the fact that we have replaced all our kitchen appliances with LG. We use our kitchen hard, and LG has always outperformed others. This microwave has already demonstrated performance that has surpassed our previous microwaves! Outstanding!

The microwave itself is fine. I use it only for basic microwaving tasks. However, the control panel is very dark and difficult to read, at times I use a flashlight to illuminate it. I am very disappointed in that respect. I will have to buy a stick on LED light to place above the panel to make the controls more visible.

One problem I have with many products that need to be installed is they don't have a standard installation no matter the brand. I was replacing a microwave in the same spot but I couldn't use the bracket I put in for the old one nor could I use the same holes in upper cabinet for the screws that go in the top. So new bracket, and new holes had to be drilled. The other issue is the over the stove light under the microwave is very weak. I replaced the bulb with a LED bulb. The microwave does work good
