terrible support. Randomly reboots almost daily. screen goes blank while typing. manually need to remove the battery to reboot completely when frozen on a daily basis . Takes several MINUTES to restart. extremely poor indication of battery status. camera is brutal. Using the phone via Wind mobile just makes things even more difficult. Worst combination imaginable. Not worth the "savings".

the phones inability to perform even the simplest of functions is incredible. [i have done battle with Screen Unlock slider bar many times, many times its too slow to answer a call after 6-7 rings.. thats bad.] Each phone has some different fascinating & debilitating problem with it. TMobile will not let me change phones but will send me a replacement G2X anytime i want. Ive had 6 of these recently, all of them were awful. The most recent one, the screen wont turn off and thats by the far best G2X ive had, so im keeping it for now. I had one where the battery would drain in minutes if i plugged it into the wall with the charger I've had several where phone calls over 2 minutes Never hang up [take battery out] Ive never been able to successfully surf the internet on this phone with a great connection, 4G or WiFi.. too slow. worst thing about this phone? getting stuck with it Tmobile wont replace it, LG wont admit it should be put down. Do Not buy this phone [unless you want to buy mine?? ;]

It seemed like a great phone at first, but the issues went on and on. First issue was freezing and I had to remove the battery to restart. Then I had issues trying to edit phone number/contacts. The software to sync the phone to my computer never worked properly. I was never able to update the phone, kept coming up with errors that could not be resolved. The microphone quit working and could not use the hands free speaker function anymore. Later the phone functions started getting quirky, sometimes it was hard to hang up a call.

Owned this phone since Feb '12, it's now May '13 and I can't wait to be rid of this phone. It may be the first dual core processing phone, but it lags out constantly. I can't stress that point enough. The lag is enough to make me want to throw this phone against a wall sometimes. I have to reset this phone at least once a day to keep it running smoothly. GPS works ok, until it doesn't and I have to reset the phone to get a good, reliable GPS location on the phone. Call quality is ok. It's not that old of a phone, but for whatever reason it's only being updated to Android 2.3.4. Will never buy another LG product again because of this garbage phone.

So, I already wrote a review and it got rejected. I will try again, and I will say the same thing, as I most certainly did not violate the terms and review guidelines. The LG P999 is overall a good phone. It has good processing power and usability for its price range. I love the features built into the phone. However, the complete lack of support from the manufacturer is appalling. Not ONCE since I got this phone, have I been able to update it; a feature which this phone was sold to me as having. Other versions of the same phone have got at least an ICS update, but I am stuck on 2.2.3, which is also preventing me from getting some of the newer games on the store. Before I realized that LG did not care about this device, I actually recommended it to people who bought it. I now wish I never did that, as the supposed feature of updating was never to be used. The phone is limited as a result, so there is no way that I recommend anyone to purchase this device.
