LG Optimus L9 4G Android Prepaid Phone (T-Mobile)

The phone has many of the smart phone functions and camera my kid wanted. Camera isn't as clear as I would like but still better than the old phone we had from 2 years ago. This battery life is AMAZING, literally 4 days without charging! You absolutely should buy a case the minute you get the phone as it is large and thin, with good clear screen display. The other plus on this phone is that the SARS rating is lower to the head than other competitors but still high on the body. The phone probably can't be put in your back pocket anyway since it is large and would probably break, so that takes care of that! It is a reasonable price until the next wave of technology has us all buying new phones! My kid is in a somewhat rural area and per the service map you are supposed to get "good" reception there, but they are getting much better reception that the old carrier and we can hear them very well. So the call quality and speech is very good on this phone.

My daughter loves it. Not as expensive as the Samsung galaxy, but it does all the same things. Nice big screen too. She says this is the next best thing to the galaxy.

Great phone, especially I like the Wi-fi picking up my entries from my PC. Good clear voice both ways. Nice large keyboard on the 4.5" screen. So far it beats my old iPhone 4G to bits.

PRO: Looking for a smartphone that won't break the bank (or the National Debt)? This smartphone is highly recommended. Great audio (voice, music, voice mail, GPS), large, easy to read screen, smooth swipe and scrolling action, great QWERTY keyboard (in landscape mode), this smartphone has most of what you might want or need that the bigger, more complex, (read EXPENSIVE) smartphones have. Picture quality is dazzling and internet (data) connection is quite fast, even for 2G areas. CON: Memory. With only 4GB on the phone, pictures and apps run out of memory very quickly and there is no way I have discovered yet, to expand the memory. If you are NOT into massive data downloads, or voluminous picture-taking, this phone is perfect; however, if you are, then look elsewhere.

Got this to replace an older Optimus 3G and am very pleased with how fast it is. Coverage is good so far. Lots of apps. I have the $30 per month plan and it works for me.
