LG - SIGNATURE 29" Laundry Pedestal with Storage Drawer - Black Stainless Steel

I bought the pedestal to raise the washer and another for the dryer. They exceeded my expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really disappointing to spend thousands on a washer and dryer and find out after the purchase that the pedestals are constantly on backorder. If you can produce the machines, then you should produce the pedestals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dryer a month ago. A couple of things to be aware of when you purchase is that do you have enough room. When you pull the drawer out you need to make sure you have enough space that it does not hit a doorway frame. It pulls out pretty far. The drawer is very spacious and fits a lot.

Some of us have dryer vents that are under the unit and not behind the unit. Dryers come with the option to mount a kit to discharge out of the bottom (saves space, safer due to no pipes coiled behind the unit to trap lint, allows the unit to be pushed to the rear wall), but these pedestals need to have a perforated slot option cut into them to allow the pedestal to be used in a bottom discharge configuration. I modify the drawer by cutting the slot and building a barrier around the vertical discharge. Sure it voids the pedestal warranty, but we get to enjoy the units sitting higher and we don't have to bend over as far to wash and dry clothes and we don't have to worry about a dryer lint fire behind the unit.

What's the point in having a storage pedestal if you can't store anything that has to stay upright (like detergent bottles, spray bottles, etc.). Total waste of money! Also regret buying LG washer and dryer. The settings are very limited and it's nearly impossible to wash & dry anything on normal to low heat cycles. Will never want to buy anything LG ever again.
