This is a good phone for you needs. I got it for my son and he loves it. I would get it too.
I've had this phone about 1 month, can't beat it! Batteries that are supplied with a phone are notoriously inferior (it's called marketing folks). Yes I'm not to happy with the battery life but you get what you pay for! Not happy? Then go spend $300+ for an iPhone & tons more for a data plan - cringe cringe. I usually see 1 bar for signal strength but the service is still fine - reasonably fast inet connection & no dropped calls. If your on a budget & need the features - get it.

I bought this phone for my son after reading the good reviews for it. The phone itself is fine, but the coverage was non-existent. He lives north of Dallas, TX. We tried for several days to use the phone, but I heard about 3 words out of each sentence. He had to hold the phone up in the air to even get one signal bar. Its too bad this did not work, because the price is fantastic. When I called Virgin Mobile's customer service and complained about the service, they refunded the one month of service I had paid for, and Walmart refunded me for the phone. So, at least it ended well.
