While visiting his dying mother (Kin Novak) , architectural expert Nick Kaminsky (Kevin Anderson) happens upon the about-to-be-destroyed Ralston Building - being demolished because of a sexually motivated double murder that occurred inside. Nick's old friend Paul (Bill Pullman) is in charge of the demolition, but Paul's sensuous wife Jane (Pamela Gidley) has an appreciation for the landmark equal to that of Nick. as Nick and Jane begin to unravel the mysteries surrounding the Ralston Building, they become tangled in their own web of passion, a passion so powerful it rivals that of the lovers whose destiny now haunts them.
