Lifetime New Outdoor Polyethylene Deck Box and Bench 130 Gal., Tan (60012)

In theory this seems like a great buy—it's a nice size and seems like it would be easy to put together. However, it is not clear which screws go where since they are not labeled and the screw diagram doesn't distinguish them. Even the YouTube video doesn't show which screws go where. One of the cylinders would not easily pop on so that's a problem.

Was fairly easy to put together and seems sturdy and rigid; does the job. Top lid stays open when you need it. Btw, about a year ago I bought a competitor's deck box. Put it together and when trying to move it, it fell apart - very flimsy. I returned it. I like this item and would recommend.

Was looking or a good sized storage box to hold paint tins, tools, power washer and other loose items in our garage / games room - something that would keep them safe and tidy. Went for the Lifetime 130 gal as it was sold by many quality retailers and got good write up in reviews. Instructions state that assembly is a 2 or even 3 man job, but I found it simple to put together on my own. Follow the instructions carefully and it should take less than 30 mins. The main thing you need to watch is not to over tighten the bolts and make sure you have a socket wrench as some of the bolts are tricky to get at. Materials are solid and fit together well. All fittings, bolts and hinges are included. The lid can be secured with a padlock. The only thing I would have liked to see was some metal reinforcement around the padlock clasp which is made of the same Poly material as the box itself. Overall, very happy with this box, which should last years.

I purchased this box last year and I am just thrilled with it. It looks nice and stores all my outdoor cushions, umbrella, hammock, plus a lot more. Also it is keeps everything dry. I am ordering another one, for all my garden supplies, and just miscellaneous items. This will make more room in my shed. I really love this deck box, and I highly recommend it.

This was extremely difficult to assemble. The holes in some cases were pre-drilled and in some cases not. The holes in most cases did not match up with the notches. Required three different sizes of sockets to put together. Although the Lifetime Company's website states that their products are made in the USA, the owner's manual for this product clearly states that it was made in Mexico. Once we finally had the deck box put together, it does its job well, keeping our patio furniture cushions clean and dry.
