Understandably, you must do your part by obeying the sensible advice provided by the manufacturer. In my experience, the most important are... 'Fill the cooler with as much ice as you can.' 'Place items inside ALREADY very cold or frozen.' 'Keep this marvel of American ingenuity away from the sun or hot areas.' SECONDLY.- Wal-Mart again sets the rules twice. Despite the number of websites offering this cooler, none of them had it in stock ready to ship it my way. Wal-Mart has had, they shipped it the next day, and they had the lowest price. So again, if you want an outstanding cooler that will keep your ice for days, you want a reliable service to ship it to you without headaches, and if you refuse to pay $350.00 $400.00 YETIS, then, do not move. Have two Lifetime coolers, that wouldn't stay latched. Reached out to the company. Received amazing customer service. Simply said, that I will continue to buy Lifetime coolers. I am unbelievable thankful for the support. As they answered my questions, very fast. Very thankful for all the help and support. Lifetime coolers are a great choice. One of the latches on my two-year-old 55 qt, cooler started to release on its own for no apparent reason. I contacted Lifetime for advice about this problem and was reminded that the products are warranted for life against any defects of this nature. I was asked to provide some pictures of the problem and the cooler itself and Lifetime is now shipping a new replacement cooler to me at no charge. The entire process was simple, straightforward, responsive and professional. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome!

I bought this cooler over a year ago, I do like the fact that it keeps ice for 4-5 days living in southern AZ. I do keep the cooler covered with a blanket when we are camping. A good cooler for the AZ. Heat. Now I would like to get the smaller Lifetime cooler for drinks. Thanks Lifetime for all your help in designing a cooler for AZ. heat. I don’t have to buy ice as much as the other coolers.

So far so good. The cooler is far easier and more secure key latched than any other I have seen. It keeps ice for 3 days with regular opening. The drain is super convenient since you can attach a garden hose and divert water where it is more convenient.
