Lil' Sew & Sew Desktop Sewing Machine LSS 505 LX

Bought this cute little machine because I thought it could handle the limited amount of sewing I do. It sounds like it's grinding and going to quit. Thread kept breaking and stitches were not even, though I worked with the tension settings to correct the problem. I returned the machine and bought a Singer Classic and am having no trouble with it. You get what you pay for!

I have never sewn before but after messing with this machine for awhile I finally got the hang of it. I had to watch some YT tutorials on how to properly thread and install the bobbin and little nit picking things like that. Some of the mistakes that were made by this machine was due to my own errors (i.e. not threading the needle in the right direction). But once I got that down I have completed several sewing projects. Some material it simply will not sew (too thick) but on most things this machine has performed well. I still have yet to attempt to sew patches on my cub scout's uniform.

I purchased the machine for my granddaughter. It is perfect for her. Lightweight and simple to use . You do have to monitor the thread, for it comes out of the needle easily. Noisey but it works well. It is great for children and as a portable device. I supervise my grandchild very closely when she uses the machine. I am happy with the purchase.

also small enough to able to take with me on trips.
