Lipton Loose Black Tea is a solid, affordable choice for everyday tea drinkers who appreciate a classic, no-frills cup. It delivers a familiar, brisk flavor that's slightly malty with a touch of bitterness, making it perfect for a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon refreshment. The tea brews quickly and produces a rich, amber liquor. It's strong enough to hold up well with milk, sugar, or lemon—depending on your preference—while still being smooth enough to drink plain. The aroma is pleasant, though not particularly complex or nuanced, which is expected at this price point. One of the key advantages is its versatility: it works well for both hot and iced tea, and it can even be used as a base for chai or flavored blends. The loose format gives more control over strength and portion, though the leaf quality tends toward the broken/fannings side rather than whole leaves, which may disappoint more discerning tea enthusiasts. Pros: • Affordable and widely available • Strong, consistent flavor • Versatile for different brewing methods Cons: • Not very complex in flavor • Leaf quality is average (mostly broken leaves) • Lacks the depth of premium black teas
Lipton tea is wonderful. Exquisite delicate taste. The price-quality ratio of the goods is at its best. I brew 1 tea bag in 1 cup. And the packaging is restrainedly beautiful.. The whole family chooses Lipton tea.
Lipton Loose Tea has been a staple in my kitchen for years! The flavor is rich yet smooth, with a well-balanced taste that isn't too bitter or overpowering. It brews into a beautiful amber color and works great for both hot and iced tea.
Flavor's fine, but at least a quarter of the box is pure dust. You have to put the tea through a strainer first to avoid having sludge at the bottom of your pot/cup. The rest of the tea is a mixture of random, broken grades and a fair amount of twigs. Since you'll not be able to brew at least a quarter of it, it's not really much of a savings to buy Lipton's loose. I'd stick with Twinings or the Lipton tea bags. A shame. I much prefer loose teas and I had hopes for this.
I love Lipton tea and the loose leaf is perfect for heavy ice tea drinkers like me. Very good flavor, I personally taste an improved flavor from the exact same tea in the bags, not sure why. It's hard to find it in stock though. One box doesn't have much tea, it runs out fast. I wish they sold a larger bag.
