Little Tikes 4-in-1 Fold Away Climber with Basketball Hoop, Soccer/Hockey Net and Slide

I bought this for my toddler, for use in the backyard. I love that it has so many components, even though my child doesn't really use the soccer net. It's a little short, so I the slide provides short term entertainment but no real thrill. It fairly easy to put together, but I have yet to collapse it for the winter, so hopefully that process is easy also!

I always loved Little Tikes play equipment when my children were small and I hope I wont be disappointed in this one. I do have concerns with all the screwed it takes to put it together. All of the pieces I had in the past snapped together nicely. Also, in the pictures it shows it storing nicely, however, it seems you would need to unscrew the slide in order to do so. It is an adorable piece and Im hoping my grandson will be able to enjoy it until he out grows it.

Overall this item is as expected. You MUST supervise your child when they are using this though because the landing at the top of the slide does not have a railing so they can easily fall off. I like that it's foldable but it is still very bulky so it's important to manage your expectations on this. Overall not bad. I wish they gave a soccer ball in addition to a basketball.

DO NOT purchase this if you want to use the fold up function. Contacted Little Tikes Customer Service and they indicated that there was an engineering change to this product and that if you go to their web site there are updated instructions for folding the unit. The instructions indicate that you need to remover six Phillip Head screws, fold the slide up and re-install the screws. You must remover six Phillip Head screws, fold the slide down and re-install the screws to unfold the set. Regardless of the hassle of removing and re-installing the screws, the plastic strips out and the screws wont stay in after only a couple of fold up/set up cycles. Again, DO NOT purchase this if you want to use the fold up function.

If you are going to name something "Fold Away" you had better make sure it folds away. There is a major flaw in the design and you can't actually fold it. The website shows a new file with an addition to the directions which tells you that you need to dissassemble the slide area (remove 8 screws) to "fold" the slide and then replace the screws to hold it in place. The entire thing is plastic so it is not designs for these screws to be removed and replaced ofter.
