Lodge Cast Iron 10.5" Seasoned Square Grill Pan

I love this pan! Just the right size for 2 tenderloins or chicken breasts. I can now get the BBQ effect indoors year round. After a couple of weeks I decided to order the lid also to keep the stovetop clean, and the grill press for sandwiches and to speed up the grilling process.

The pan was well-seasoned to start-better than my smaller Lodge skillets. It was larger than I expected-probably a bit bigger than my standard size stove can handle so I turn on two burners to keep it more evenly heated. It would be amazing on a "chef size" cooktop. I love that there's no long handle so it fits easily in the oven. Now I just need to get a bigger stove to match my pan! Great price in comparison to the Lodge website too.

This is a great deal on great cast iron cookware. Lodge is a great company and they met the mark on this set. It's hard to beat cookinging up some garlic butter shrimp in the deep pot while doing steaks in the shallow pot/lid. cook directly over a fire, on charcoal, or on your stove. Clean up is easy with a scrapper and hot water. Just don't forget to dry it out and apply a light coat of Veg oil to keep it seasoned.

I purchased this 3 qt. combo cooker because it is so versatile. I can use it as a dutch oven, deep-fryer, skillet......whatever I want because both pieces can be put to use. I feel it is the perfect size for my husband and myself as well as for up to 4 or 5 people. I love the way everything cooks in the Lodge cookware, and I can also use it on the wood stove when the power goes out. If I want to cook outdoors with it, I could do that also. I am especially happy that it is still made in the USA!

The 8 quart dutch oven by Lodge is HEAVY....and well made!!! The lid is very thick and designed to support the hot coals on top for more even cooking. This is a large item.... with "feet" to support the cookware in a open fire pit! Bear in mind that this is for OUTDOOR USE and is NOT intended to be used for stove top OR oven cooking. Use a regular dutch oven if that is your intention. I would HIGHLY recommend this item. Based on the construction, I'm sure that this will last for OVER 100 years....
