Lodge Cast Iron Logic L8CF3 Chicken Fryer with Cover 10.5" Size 8

Lodge makes the best cast iron! This is an awesome, heavy, deep skillet with a lid. You can fry a chicken in it or deep fry or shallow fry or make a small stew (3 quarts). You could roast a small turkey breast or pork loin in it. Truly a very versitile pot. Now that being said, it is bare cast iron and must be properly cared for and maintained to preserve its performance and looks. Arm yourself with proper care and cooking techniques and the peice will last for generations! Literally!

cast iron takes a little longer to heat but it stays hotter longer.The thing I make most is sausage gravy in this pan but is also great for deep frying. Cast iron also clean up very easy,just remember to dry completly before putting away.Also Lodge cast iron is 100% American made.If you buy this pan you will not be dissapointed.

My wife loves it. I purchased this cast iron cooker for my wife and she put it to use right away after cleaning and recurring it I ate the best stewed squash ever and then dryed peas witch was perfect. She is a great cook [chef in my book] but the cast iron added to the flavor. I am very happy with this purchase. Lodge produces a great product that does not require you to cure before use but we decided to clean and recure it so we would feel better about the cleanliness. Love the lid too, and my wife loves the helper handle it helps with moving it around on count of the weight.

This chicken fryer is heavy and holds heat very well. Has slopping sides and fits my electric burner perfectly. Will cook four pieces of chicken without crowding. Top holds in heat so chicken cooks quicker. Remove lid when you turn chicken over to allow it to crisp up and there you go!

The ONLY thing this product needs to make it the perfect cookware is for the inside to be made smooth at the factory. You can't push a metal spatula across the bottom without it catching on the very rough surface. The first thing I did when I got this product was to sand the rough bottom interior & re-season. Now works great!
